Im a big believer in giving old furniture make-overs.
Yes i know it may be yellow oak and its old school and untarnished and totally valueable, but yes i want to paint it pink.
I have several DIY projects i'm busy with at home.
One being a glorious 1940's writing desk.

The wood colour is rather pitsy, but once ive shimmied a few layers of Opera pink, number four paint on it, im hoping to have this effect.
